Wacissa, Florida
Wacissa is a small unincorporated community and census-designated place in Jefferson County, Florida, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 362, down from 386 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tallahassee metropolitan area. It shares its name with the Wacissa River, the headwaters of which are about one mile to the south.
Geography
Wacissa is in western Jefferson County, southwest of Monticello, the county seat, and southeast of Tallahassee, the state capital. Florida State Road 59 runs through the community, leading north to U.S. Route 27 and south to U.S. Route 98.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Wacissa CDP has a total area of, of which, or 0.53%, are water.
