Visual illusions without low spatial frequencies is a scholarly work, published in 1984 in ''Vision Research''. The main subjects of the publication include optics, neuroesthetics, physics, cognitive psychology, psychology, stimulus, spatial frequency, optical illusion, illusion, color constancy, and visual perception. The authors have tested this hypothesis by constructing classical illusory figures out of a new dot stimulus, which is free of visible low spatial frequencies.
