Visa policy of Seychelles


All foreign nationals visiting Seychelles are granted visa free access. However, they are required to obtain a Visitor's Permit on arrival unless exempt.
The Visitor's Permit is issued free of charge and is initially valid for up to three months but it can be extended for a fee for a period of up to three months with further extensions not exceeding total period of twelve months. They must be in a possession of a valid passport, return or onward ticket, proof of accommodation and sufficient funds.

Visa exemption

Citizens of the following countries are not required to obtain a Visitor’s Permit for the specified periods under mutual visa-waiver agreements. They only need to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization through the Seychelles Electronic Border System:
1 – 90 days within any 6-month period

2 – 90 days within any 180-day period

3 – 60 days, but no more than 90 days within any 1 year

4 – 30 days within any 180-day period.
Date of visa changes

Citizens of Hong Kong, Ireland, Singapore and the United Kingdom have never needed a visa to enter Seychelles
Seychelles signed visa waiver agreements with Maldives on 12 June 2023, Israel on 12 January 2024, Benin on 4 October 2024 and Lebanon on 22 November 2024 which are yet to be ratified.

Non-ordinary passports

In addition to [|countries whose citizens are visa-exempt], holders of diplomatic, official and service passports issued by Ethiopia are not required to obtain a Visitor’s Permit for up to 90 days.

Seychelles Electronic Border System (SEBS)

All of Seychelles' border formalities have been digitised and must be completed by travellers of all countries before entering Seychelles, via the SEBS.

Below are some requirements from SEBS:
  • This can be submitted up to 30 days before travel.
  • Visitors must upload a reservation confirmation for each visitor's location of stay in Seychelles.
  • A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if coming from endemic countries.
  • Payment of the fee by credit or debit card.
  • Valid for one journey only and It expires once exit the country.
