Murrays Crossroads, Georgia
Murrays Crossroads was an unincorporated community in Schley County, Georgia, United States. It was located at the intersection of U.S. [Route 19] with Georgia [State Route 240|State Route 240], to the north of the city of Ellaville, the county seat of Schley County. The elevation of the location is 440 feet. In the late 19th century it was a "prosperous country settlement", which had its own post office by 1884. Thomas E. Watson gave a speech at Murray's Crossroads in 1893. In 1959, it was referred to as a "town". By 2021, however, it was referred to as a "past example" of a rural community.
The community is part of the Americus Micropolitan Statistical Area.
