Firstview, Colorado


Firstview is an unincorporated community located in and governed by Cheyenne [County, Colorado|Cheyenne County], Colorado, United States. It is located along U.S. Highway 40 west of county seat Cheyenne Wells.

History

The Firstview, Colorado, post office operated from June 25, 1907, until November 24, 1961. The Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, post office now serves the area.
Firstview was named for the spot where travelers got their first glimpse of Pikes Peak, to the west.

Firstview is located in Cheyenne County at coordinates and elevation.
Firstview is roughly the antipode of Île Saint-Paul, a French island in the Indian Ocean. This island is one of only three land areas with antipodes in the contiguous United States.
