Dirsekli, İdil

Dirsekli is a village in the İdil District of Şırnak Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Kurds of the Meman tribe and had a population of 575 in 2021.

History

Ḫarābī Šaraf was historically inhabited by Syriac Orthodox Christians. In the Syriac Orthodox patriarchal register of dues of 1870, it was recorded that the village had one household, who did not pay their dues, and it did not have a church or a priest.
