29th Dáil
The 29th Dáil was elected at the 2002 general election on 17 May 2002 and met on 6 June 2002. The members of Dáil Éireann, the house of representatives of the Oireachtas of Ireland, are known as TDs. It sat with the 22nd Seanad as the two Houses of the Oireachtas.
The 29th Dáil was dissolved by President Mary McAleese on 26 April 2007, at the request of the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern. The 29th Dáil lasted, the third longest after the 10th Dáil and the 28th Dáil.
