Deadliest crash

The deadliest crash of this year was Pakistan International Airlines Flight 268, an Airbus A300 which crashed in mountainous terrain near Kathmandu, Nepal on 28 September, killing all 167 people on board. The deadliest military aircraft crash of this year, namely the 1992 Nigerian Air Force C-130 crash which crashed shortly after take-off in Nigeria, killing 159 people aboard.
