Yellice, KurtalanYellice is a village in the Kurtalan District of Siirt Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Kurds and had a population of 313 in 2021.HistoryThe village formerly adhered to Yazidism but converted to Islam in the late 19th century with the guidance of Sheikh Abdulkahhâr from nearby Zokayd. After the conversion, a mosque was built, commissioned by Sultan Abdul Hamid II. A madrasa was also built which would educate many scholars.
