Van Independent School District


Van Independent School District is a public school district based in Van, Texas.
In addition to Van, the district serves the city of Edom and the unincorporated community of Ben Wheeler. The district also serves a portion of western Smith County and extends into a small part of Henderson County.
For the 2022–23 school year, the district was rated by the Texas Education Agency as follows: 78 overall, 79 for Student Achievement, 80 for School Progress, and 73 for Closing the Gaps.
