The UCSC Known Genes
The UCSC Known Genes is a scholarly work by David Haussler, Mark Diekhans, Hiram Clawson, Jim Kent, and Robert M. Kuhn, published in 2006 in ''Bioinformatics''. The main subjects of the publication include gene, genome, RefSeq, ribosome, biology, genomics, computer science, Ensembl genome database project, methylation, gene nomenclature, genome browser, genetics, computational biology, UniProt, RNA sequencing, and DNA annotation. Although UCSC Known Genes offers the highest genomic and CDS coverage among major human and mouse gene sets, more detailed analysis suggests all of them could be further improved.
