Shibuki Station


Shibuki Station is a passenger railway station located in the city of Nagato, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company.

The station consists of two opposed ground-level unnumbered side platforms, connected by a footbridge. The station is unattended.

History

Shibuki Station was opened on 23 March 1924 with the opening of the Mine Line between Ofuku Station and Masaakishi Station . With the privatization of the Japan National Railway on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan railway Company. The station was out of operation from 15 July 2010 to 26 September 2011 due to damage cased by flooding of the Asa River due to heavy rains.
