Regent Taipei
Regent Taipei is a luxury hotel operating under the Regent Hotels & Resorts brand, while being owned and managed by the Silks Hotel Group.
Located in Taipei's Zhongshan District, the property is in close proximity to the Zhongshan Station of the Taipei Metro Tamsui-Xinyi Line, Linsen Park, and the Nanshi Commercial District. It features 538 guest rooms and includes the Regent Galleria, a high-end shopping center, situated in its basement.
The structure, built on public land owned by the Taipei City Government under a 50-year superficies right granted in 1984, began operations in early 1990.
History
Regent Taipei was conceptualised in 1973 by Formosa International Hotels founder, S.R. Pan, upon the need for a luxury hotel in Taipei. This was later realised in 1984 when Y.H. Chen of Tuntex Group cooperated with Pan to build this hotel. An agreement with Regent International Hotels was signed the same year to manage the hotel. The hotel opened in 1990 as The Regent Taipei. In 2011, the hotel name was reverted to Regent Taipei after being titled Grand Formosa Regent for 17 years.Facilities

Robin’s Grill & Teppanyaki
Both restaurants are located on the second floor of the Regent Taipei. They are known for serving steaks and seafood, cooked respectively via direct-fire charcoal grilling and French teppanyaki . The grill is noted for offering the widest selection of bone-in steaks among local restaurants. The steakhouse's salad bar partners with local Taiwanese small farmers to supply a variety of native seasonal vegetables, aligning with sustainability goals. The chef team has also collaborated with several Michelin-starred chefs for special guest events. The staff provides services in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Japanese, offering a selection of over a dozen massage, exfoliation, and relaxation therapies.
