Fictional character biography

Prism is a member of the mercenary group, the Marauders, who is able to use his crystalline body to absorb, reflect, and amplify energy. Prism is part of a squad of Marauders, along with Arclight and Scrambler, who are sent to kill the members of X-Factor as they are evacuating the Morlocks to protect them from the Marauders. Jean Grey slams Prism against a wall using her telekinetic powers, killing him.
Mister Sinister uses his cloning technology to bring back Prism and his fellow Marauders, who were killed during the Mutant Massacre. Prism is killed again by a group of demon-influenced police officers in the opening hours of the Inferno, but is quickly resurrected by Sinister.
Prism retains his powers after the events of M-Day, when the Scarlet Witch removed the powers of most mutants on Earth. He and the other Marauders ambush the X-Men at Mystique's residence and kidnap Rogue to bring her to Mister Sinister.
Prism's body is found shattered by the X-Men when they arrive at an Alaskan town, trying to find Hope Summers. Prism is killed in a clash with the Purifiers and eaten by Predator X.
Prism's clone is later tracked down and killed by Magneto. Magneto reprograms the cloned Marauders to serve under his command; after being resurrected, Prism and the other mercenaries join Magneto's side.

Powers and abilities

Prism is able to refract most forms of energy directed at him, including ambient light. He is also capable of storing light within his body, using it as a form of illumination or as a means of blinding his opponents.
