Duc Tran Nguyen, known professionally as Plastique Tiara, is a Vietnamese-American drag performer, dancer, and model who competed on season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race and season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. As an influencer with over 13 million followers across their platforms, Nguyen is the most-followed drag queen on social media.

Early life

Duc Tran Nguyen was born in Ho Chi Minh City, and was raised in Vietnam by their grandparents. They are a first-generation American immigrant, moving to the United States at age 11.

Career

Trần is a drag performer, dancer, and model who competed as ‘Plastique Tiara’ on season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race. Plastique impersonated Lovely Mimi for the Snatch Game challenge and won the "Farm to Runway" design challenge, placing eighth overall. She was eliminated from the competition in the ninth episode, after placing in the bottom two of an acting challenge and losing a lip sync against Vanessa Vanjie Mateo to "Hood Boy" by Fantasia. After the show, she joined the Werq the World tour and the rotating cast of RuPaul's Drag Race Live!
In 2019, Plastique Tiara released the dance-pop song "Irresistible", along with a music video. Brendan Wetmore of Paper magazine described the video as "a beautiful and expensive dreamlike look into the luxury of being Plastique; beautiful men dance at her command while she whips her silky locks back and forth, her body covered in a jeweled garment". In 2021, Plastique Tiara and Drag Race contestant Kim Chi collaborated on a cosmetics collection.
Plastique Tiara is the most-followed drag queen on TikTok. Trần joined the platform in August 2019, and had 11.2 million followers, as of January 2023. Trần had 2.1 million Instagram followers as of October 2021. Trần joined OnlyFans in 2020.
On April 23, 2024, Plastique was announced as one of the eight contestants competing on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Plastique Tiara has been featured on the cover of L’Officiel Vietnam.

Personal life

Nguyen is based in Los Angeles. Previously, they were based in Dallas, until 2019. They are queer.
Plastique Tiara has been described as a "drag daughter" of Drag Race contestant Alyssa Edwards; other members of the Haus of Edwards have included Gia Gunn, Laganja Estranja, and Shangela.
Nguyen created their alter ego Plastique Tiara after the My Little Pony character Diamond Tiara, but later replaced the “Diamond” with “Plastique”.
On March 29, 2025, Nguyen announced that they were engaged to their boyfriend of three years.
