The systematic name of this enzyme class is ATP:methyl-phosphate phosphotransferase. Other names in common use include hydroxymethylpyrimidine phosphokinase, and ATP:4-amino-2-methyl-5-phosphomethylpyrimidine phosphotransferase. This enzyme participates in thiamine metabolism.
