National parks of Ukraine


National nature parks of Ukraine are preservation territories that are part of the Nature-Preservation Fund of Ukraine. The total area protected by national parks is approximately, for an average of but a median of only at Zalissia. The largest national park is Podilski Tovtry in Khmelnytskyi Oblast at and the smallest park is Derman–Ostroh National Nature Park, at less than.
This category of the Nature-Preservation Fund was mainly established after the fall of the Soviet Union. There were very few parks in Ukraine and most of them were in the West.
