Mounds View High School


Mounds View High School is a public high school in Arden Hills, Minnesota, United States. Part of Mounds View Public Schools, the school is in a suburban area about nine miles north of downtown Minneapolis and Saint Paul and serves seven cities with 76,193 residents. As of 2014–15 the school had an enrollment of 1,735 and a student/teacher ratio of 21.81. It includes grades 9–12 and was founded in 1955. It is one of two high schools in the school district, the other being Irondale High School. Most residents of Mounds View attend Irondale High School.

Academics and recognition

named Mounds View High School among the nation's 15 best high schools for exceeding expectations with regard to student performance on reading and math tests, and for preparing students for college. Through the Post Secondary Enrollment Options program, students may take classes at institutions in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. The average ACT score at Mounds View High School is 25.4, compared to the state average of 21.1, with 99% of the class taking the ACT.
