Kimachi Station


Kimachi Station is a passenger railway station located in the city of Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by the West Japan Railway Company.

Kimachi Station is served by the JR West San'in Main Line, and is located 364.5 kilometers from the terminus of the line at. Only local trains stop at this station.

Station layout

The station consists of two opposed side platforms connected to the station building by a footbridge. The station building is unattended.

History

Kimachi Station was opened on 25 December 1929. With the privatization of the Japan National Railway on 1 April 1987, the station came under the aegis of the West Japan Railway Company.
