Janusz Gortat
Janusz Kazimierz Gortat was a Polish boxer, who represented his native country at two consecutive Summer Olympics, in 1972 Summer Olympics|1972] and 1976 Summer Olympics|1976]. In both tournaments he won the bronze medal in the light heavyweight division after being defeated in the semifinals by the eventual winners.
Born in Brzozów, he was the father of NBA basketball player Marcin Gortat and boxer Robert Gortat. He died on 19 December 2023, at the age of 75.
