Interference patterns in cross-grating interferometers: further analysis

Interference patterns in cross-grating interferometers: further analysis is a scholarly work, published in 1989 in ''Applied Optics''. The main subjects of the publication include physics, diffraction grating, interferometry, digital image correlation, moiré pattern, dimensional metrology, anti-reflective coating, optics, interference, spatial frequency, astronomical interferometer, grating, line, and Blazed grating. When the line structures of the two cross gratings are not parallel, the fringe pattern has lower contrast which suggests that four line gratings should be used to replace the second cross grating in order to have high contrast fringes.
