Production
On May 9, 2022, CBS renewed the series for both a fifth and sixth season. The season was delayed due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes including the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike and 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.In March 2024, it was announced that Peregrym's Rookie Blue co-star Charlotte Sullivan would join the guest cast of the sixth season while Katherine Renee Kane as Tiffany Wallace departed at the end of the season as series regular.
