DeCA Superior Civilian Service Award

The Defense Commissary Agency 'Superior Civilian Service Award' is a civilian honorary award given to a Defense Commissary Agency employee by that agency. It is awarded to civilian employees that show service or contributions DeCA or the DoD that do not meet the requirements of the DeCA Meritorious Civilian Service Award.

Criteria

The award may be conferred for significant contributions which merit official recognition, but do not meet the standards of the DeCA Meritorious Civilian Service Award. It can also recognize sustained high quality performance over a significant period of time, significant achievements or actions.

Description

The medal is stylized shield of silver plated red brass with the seal of the Defense Commissary Agency on the front. On the Reverse it is inscribed DEFENSE COMMISSARY AGENCY and SUPERIOR CIVILIAN SERVICE AWARD AWARDED TO above crossed laurels and oak leaves.
