DeCA Meritorious Civilian Service Award
The Defense Commissary Agency 'Meritorious Civilian Service Award' is the second highest civilian honorary award given to a Defense Commissary Agency employee by that agency. It is awarded to civilian employees that show service or contributions DeCA or the DoD that do not meet the requirements of the DeCA Distinguished Civilian Service Award.
Criteria
The award may be conferred due to:- performing assigned duties in an exemplary manner.
- creating new methods or procedures that result in savings of manpower, time, space, materials, safety, health of employees or expenses for DeCA, the DoD or Federal Government.
- exemplary improvement of the morale in their organizational unit that results in work performance improvement.
- showing unusual courage or competence in an emergency while performing assigned duties.
- other outstanding performance that is seen as warranting this award.
