1956 Japan Series
The 1956 Japan Series was the championship series of Nippon Professional Baseball for the season. The seventh edition of the Series, it was a best-of-seven playoff that matched the Pacific League champion Nishitetsu Lions against the Central League champion Yomiuri Giants. This is the first Series to feature the same team win the MVP Award and Fighting Spirit Award.
