Wolfhurst, Ohio


Wolfhurst is a census-designated place in Belmont County, Ohio, United States. It is part of the Wheeling, West Virginia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,119 at the 2020 census. Wolfhurst Volunteer Fire Department has been in operation since 1946, providing fire and medical care to residents of Wolfhurst, Lansing, Blaine, and Boydsville.

Geography

Wolfhurst is located in eastern Belmont County in the valley of Wheeling Creek. It is bordered to the northwest by Lansing, and the village of Brookside is to the east. U.S. Route 40, the National Road, passes through the center of Wolfhurst, leading east to downtown Wheeling, West Virginia.
