When syntax meets semantics
When syntax meets semantics is a scholarly work, published in 1997 in ''Psychophysiology''. The main subjects of the publication include reading, artificial intelligence, executive functions, P600, event-related potential, natural language processing, sentence processing, programming language semantics, linguistics, sentence, language processing, syntax, comprehension, computer science, electroencephalography, N400, and psychology. Event related potentials (ERPs) showed that semantic violations elicited an N400 response, whereas syntactic violations elicited two early negativities (150 and 350 ms) and a P600 response.
