Wayne Township, Owen County, Indiana


Wayne Township is one of thirteen townships in Owen County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,704 and it contained 800 housing units.

History

Wayne Township was established in 1820. It was named for General Anthony Wayne.
Secrest Ferry Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of, of which is land and is water. The White River defines the township's southern border.
