Viktor Stepanovich Lensky was a soviet and Russian scientist who worked in the field of continuum mechanics.

Biography

Viktor Lensky was born on February 10 1913 in the village of in the family of a clergyman. In 1930 he graduated from a nine-year school, then worked as a laborer. In 1932 he entered the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the. In 1935 he was transferred to the Department of Elasticity theory of the mechanical and mathematical faculty of Moscow State University named after Mikhail Lomonosov. His field of scientific interests includes dynamics of elastic bodies, plasticity.
