FAD-dependent urate hydroxylase is an enzyme with systematic name urate,NADH:oxygen oxidoreductase .
A non-homologous isofunctional enzyme to HpxO was found, and named HpyO. HpyO was determined to be a typical Michaelian enzyme. These FAD-dependent urate hydroxylases are flavoproteins.
