Upsala is a city in Morrison County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 487 at the 2020 census, up from 427 in 2010.
History
A post office called Upsala was established in 1883. Swedish settlers named the city after Uppsala, Sweden.Geography
Upsala is in southwestern Morrison County, surrounded by Elmdale Township. Minnesota State Highway 238 passes through the center of the community, leading east to Elmdale and northeast to Little Falls, the county seat. To the south, Highway 238 leads to Albany.According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Upsala has an area of, of which, or 0.03%, are water. The North Two River passes through the center of Upsala, flowing east to the Mississippi River near Royalton.

The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 2.86.
