Traces of the Ceiling

Traces of the Ceiling is a 2025 studio album by Japanese musician Takako Minekawa.
The album is intended to follow the format of a diary; following Minekawa's daily experiences when the album was recorded between October and December 2018 – with the exception of the title track, "traces of the ceiling", which was recorded in August 2020. There is a focus on everyday, mundane experiences, for example, the track "inokashirasen no" refers to a specific train.
Traces of the Ceiling was recorded in a Los Angeles studio and features the use of a "glass tube", Yamaha DX100 and korg micro sampler.
