The relationship between synonymous codon usage and protein structure

The relationship between synonymous codon usage and protein structure is a scholarly work, published in 1998 in ''FEBS Letters''. The main subjects of the publication include genetics, protein secondary structure, protein structure, Synonymous substitution, gene, ribosome, silent mutation, protein folding, glycosylation, codon usage bias, RNA sequencing, amino acid, and biology. All except two codons inE. colishow the same secondary structural preference for alpha‐helix, beta‐strand or coil as that of amino acids to be encoded by the respective codons, while 17 codons show secondary structural bias in mammalian proteins.
