Technological studies
Technological Studies is a subject taught in Scottish secondary schools. It encompasses a wide range of engineering-related topics and provides a solid knowledge base for further study in engineering-related disciplines.

The ''Standard Grade'' Course
Introduction to Systems :Pneumatic Systems :Applied Electronics :Programmable Control :Energy :Mechanical Systems :Pupils sit exams at both General and Credit level lasting 75 and 90 minutes, respectively.
The ''Higher'' Course
Applied Electronics :Structures and Materials :Systems and Control :Case Study :Pupils sit a 3 hour exam which determines their final grade. Three internal National Assessment Banks are sat, each of these must be passed to sit the final exam.
The ''Advanced Higher'' Course
Applied Electronics :Systems and Control :Structures and Materials :Project Enquiry :Pupils sit a 3 hour examination which determines their final grade.
