Taft County


Taft County is in Yazd province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Taft.

History

After the 2006 National Census, Garizat and Kahduiyeh Rural Districts were separated from Nir District in the formation of Garizat District. After the 2016 census, the village of Bakh was elevated to the status of a city.

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 45,357 in 13,747 households. The following census in 2011 counted 45,145 people in 14,325 households. The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 43,893 in 14,659 households.
