Spiesen-Elversberg

Spiesen-Elversberg is a municipality in the district of Neunkirchen, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximately southwest of Neunkirchen, and northeast of Saarbrücken.

The district of Elversberg has a popular football team, which is called SV Elversberg, which plays at the URSAPHARM-Arena an der Kaiserlinde. The team has experienced success in recent years, rising three tiers in the German [football league system]. It now competes in Germany's 2nd level, the 2. Bundesliga. It is currently the strongest team in Saarland, having surpassed 1. [FC Saarbrücken] in 2023.
