This specific epithet ‘taborans’ refers to the Mount Tabor Ashram, Zoology Research Centre, St. [Stephen's College, Pathanapuram|St. Stephen's College], Pathanapuram, the Headquarters of the Institution where this research was conducted.
Known only from Munroe Island, Ashtamudi Estuary, Kerala, India.
