Rupert Ellis-Brown

Rupert Ellis-Brown was a sailor from South Africa, who represented his country at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Meulan, France. He served as mayor of Durban during the 1940s.

Life and career

Brown was born to father Joseph Ellis-Brown, he also had a brother, Cecil Ellis-Brown. He retired at the age of 70, serving as the mayor of Durban from 1939 to 1945.
