Robinson Peak

Robinson Peak is a sharp peak on the ridge east of Rennell Glacier, standing 7 nautical miles south of Mount Virginia in the Heritage Range. It was mapped by the United States [Geological Survey] from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos, 1961–66, and was named by the Advisory [Committee on Antarctic Names] for Willard E. Robinson, a construction mechanic at Byrd Station in 1965. Robinson Peak was first successfully climbed on January 2–3, 2013 by Pachi Ibarra, Ralf Laier and Todd Passey.
