Pultenaea bracteaminor is an erect shrub that typically grows to a height of and has hairy branches. The leaves are round to u-shaped in cross-section, long and wide with stipules long at the base and with the edgesrolled under. The flowers are arranged in crowdedgroups on the ends of branchlets, the sepals long with scale-like, three-pointed bracts and boat-shaped to linear bracteoles long. The standard petal is yellow to orange and long, the wings yellow to orange and long and the keel is red to purple. Flowering occurs from August to September and the fruit is an ovalpod long.
