Pesquería
Pesquería is a municipality in the Mexican state of Nuevo León. It forms part of the suburban area of the Monterrey metropolitan area. The municipal seat is the locality of Pesquería.
The municipality is crossed by the Pesquería River.
Geography
Pesquería is located in central Nuevo León. It borders Los Ramones to the east, Doctor González to the north, and Apodaca and Cadereyta Jiménez to the west and south. The municipal seat lies at about above sea level.Its approximate distance to downtown Monterrey is.
Demographics
The 2020 census recorded 147,624 inhabitants in the municipality.Local press has associated population changes in the municipality with increased industrial activity and related in-migration, including South Korean workers and residents in the area. In that context, the nickname “Pescorea” has been used in some media as a colloquial label for the locality.

Economy
Historically reported economic activities in the municipality include cattle raising and agriculture, as well as brick and tile production linked to local clay deposits.In the 2010s, automotive manufacturing was reported as a major source of employment and in-migration in the municipality and the surrounding metropolitan area.
Education
Pesquería hosts the campus of the Escuela Técnica Roberto Rocca, a technical upper-secondary school that forms part of the Roberto Rocca Technical School Network promoted by the Techint Group through its member companies.Institutional documentation has also reported sustainability certification for the campus facilities.
