Pak Jaesam
Park Jaesam was a South Korean poet.
Life
Park Jaesam was born on April 10, 1933, in Japan. Park attended Korea University, but dropped out. He worked as a reporter for the Daehan-Ilbo and an Editor of the Hyundai Munhak-sa. In the 1960s Park was a member of the literary club Sahwajip, and He served as the first editorial committee of the bimonthly publication "The Han Kyorerh Literature" newly launched in 1993. and the Secretary General of the Korean Poets' Association. Park died on June 8, 1997.Work
Park's first published poem was "In the Water of the River", which was published in Contemporary Literature, at the recommendation of SEo Jeongju, in 1955. In the same year his sijo, "Providence", was published, with the recommendation of Yoo Chiwan, in Providence.The Korean Literature Translation Institute summarizes Park's contribution to Korean literature:
