Orygmatobothrium
Orygmatobothrium is a genus of tapeworms in the family Phyllobothriidae. The genus was first described by Austrian zoologist Karl Moriz Diesing in 1863. Species of Orygmatobothrium are intestinal parasites that infect elasmobranch fishes, particularly sharks of the family Triakidae. They have been recorded from several marine regions, including the Persian Gulf, the Atlantic coast of South America, and the Mediterranean Sea.
