Off Broadway (play)
Off-Broadway is a 1982 American play by Norman Krasna.
The show's 1982 production by The Whole Theater Company in Montclair, New Jersey was directed by Jose Ferrer. Ferrer got the job after playing a game of golf with Krasna and discussing Krasna's new play.
Krasna said "the characters might be two young people but the problem, I hope, is universal."
Plot
Cathy and David are cast in an off-Broadway play as a married couple, During rehearsal, David suggests they sleep together to improve their performances. They do this and fall in love.Original cast

Reception
"It tries," said The New York Times.The Daily Record felt the play "never quite decides what it wants to be... It is in the end a play of one liners - some of which are truly funny, but few of which justify the amount of time they take to unfold." The Montclair Times wrote "it's all been done before."
