North of the Border in Canada


North of the Border in Canada is an album by the Ron Collier Orchestra performing music by Canadian composers, with the American pianist Duke Ellington as the featured soloist. It was recorded in Toronto in 1967 and released on the Decca label.

Reception

The AllMusic review by Scott Yanow stated: "None of the complex suitelike originals are particularly memorable, and the arrangements for the orchestra are reasonably colorful, but not too distinctive. Purely for Duke Ellington completists".
