Naseer Akhtar
Naseer Akhtar was a Pakistan Army three-star general who served as Corps Commander Karachi.
Early education
Akhtar received his early education at Cadet College Hasan Abdal.Military career
Akhtar was commissioned into the Pakistan Army after graduating from the Pakistan Military Academy. He served in regimental, staff, and command roles during his career.In 1992, he was promoted from Major General to Lieutenant General and appointed as Corps Commander Karachi. During his tenure in Karachi in the early 1990s, the city was subject to Operation Clean-up (Operation Blue Fox), a law-enforcement and security operation involving the Pakistan Rangers and police, with support from the Pakistan Army.
During his tenure as a senior commander, he was associated with the handling of the Tando Bahawal incident, which led to a court-martial and execution of an army officer found guilty of killing civilians.
