NGC 57

NGC 57 is an elliptical galaxy in the constellation Pisces. It was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel on 8 October 1784.

Supernovae

Two supernovae have been observed in NGC 57:SN 2010dq was discovered by Kōichi Itagaki on 3 June 2010. It was 17" west and 1" south of the center of NGC 57 at coordinates,.SN 2011fp was discovered by Kōichi Itagaki on 29 August 2011.
