Minnesota statistical areas

The U.S. currently has 34 Statistical [area (United States)|statistical areas] that have been delineated by the Office of Management and Budget. On July 21, 2023, the OMB delineated six combined statistical areas, nine metropolitan statistical areas, and 19 micropolitan statistical areas in Minnesota. As of 2023, the largest of these is the Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN-WI CSA, comprising the area around the state's twin cities - Minneapolis, its largest city, and St. Paul, its capital.
