Masood Dakik
Sultan Masood Dakik is a German-Afghan entrepreneur and lobbyist for the rights of disabled people.
Early life and career
Dakik was born on 19 August 1967 in Kabul, Afghanistan, to father Abdul Khaliq Khan. In 1984, he graduated from Lycée Esteqlal.In an interview he said that after being admitted to Kabul Medical School he fled to West Germany, because his father, a cousin and close ally of Daoud Khan, was imprisoned during the rule of Barbark Karmal,. When he reached Germany, he worked in business and management. He then became a green energy entrepreneur and lobbyist for the rights of disabled people, including orphans.
In 2015 he has become member of Germany's Federal Cross of Merit.
On the official website of the Alliance of International Aid, Dakik is mentioned as chairman and founder. The Alliance is an organization that is dedicated to philanthropic development. Advisory Board Members include the former Belgian Prime Minister Yves Leterme and former candidate as Secretary-General of the United Nations Igor Luksic.
