Mahora is a suburb of the city of Hastings, in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand's eastern North Island.

Mahora had a population of 6,030 in the 2023 New Zealand census, an increase of 426 people since the 2018 census, and an increase of 1,065 people since the 2013 census. There were 2,883 males, 3,132 females, and 18 people of other genders in 2,235 dwellings. 2.4% of people identified as LGBTIQ+. There were 1,221 people aged under 15 years, 1,122 aged 15 to 29, 2,562 aged 30 to 64, and 1,122 aged 65 or older.
People could identify as more than one ethnicity. The results were 67.2% European ; 27.1% Māori; 8.0% Pasifika; 12.1% Asian; 0.7% Middle Eastern, Latin American and African New Zealanders ; and 2.5% other, which includes people giving their ethnicity as "New Zealander". English was spoken by 94.9%, Māori by 6.0%, Samoan by 2.4%, and other languages by 10.8%. No language could be spoken by 2.3%. New Zealand Sign Language was known by 0.6%. The percentage of people born overseas was 20.1, compared with 28.8% nationally.
Religious affiliations were 36.6% Christian, 1.9% Hindu, 0.7% Islam, 2.0% Māori religious beliefs, 0.7% Buddhist, 0.4% New Age, and 4.0% other religions. People who answered that they had no religion were 47.8%, and 6.0% of people did not answer the census question.
Of those at least 15 years old, 897 people had a bachelor's or higher degree, 2,571 had a post-high school certificate or diploma, and 1,338 people exclusively held high school qualifications. 324 people earned over $100,000 compared to 12.1% nationally. The employment status of those at least 15 was 2,421 full-time, 621 part-time, and 114 unemployed.
